Classic Car Restorations
Harley
Started breaking this down, at the beginning of 2008, but stopped after the Speed 20 returned from the paint shop in February. Here it has sat since then, with most the broken parts removed.
The tank is back from repair, which makes the rest of the paint look very tired, so now it's the turn of the mudguards and side panels. So, now a little bit more has been taken off. While these parts are away, I've some painting to do on the frame and then the nasty job of polishing the ally cases etc. This will keep me busy for a bit!

Now we start putting it back together!
We've now run the car for some months, and the mechanics all seem fine.
The body frame has been replaced or strengthened in places.
As you can see the body is now completely stripped and ready for painting - if only we could find a painter!
The seats have been retrimmed, and the sunroof area has been trimmed out and re fitted.
The colour will be dark blue, maybe with a grey, if deciding on a two tone scheme. The leather and interior will be light grey.
First offering up of the wings, and off for painting...
Back from painting, I decided to go with a dark midnight blue as oppossed to the two tone option I had originally planned.
Just back from the painters, Mudguards and running board strips, now firmly fixed. Bonnet and door catches and front lights fitted, Work on the engine and carburetors
The finished result - now available to purchase!
